Count My Blessings

Welcome to sycatsy's blog! I have never updated for a very long time & I deeply apologise for my absence. I have been busy with school, currently having a holiday break, so I decided to blog. Upon viewing my blog, I realised that there are people who actually read or have read the contents of my blog despite only having two posts. I am very grateful and the happiness I am feeling is beyond words. I started my blog just last month, still having a lot more to learn & it is good to see people taking their time reading my posts. It gives me a reason to work extra hard and publish posts worthy to read in the future.

 So, I was on my laptop just a couple of minutes ago, searching part-time jobs available. I am currently unemployed & desperately (maybe not too desperate) finding a part-time job. I do want to earn my own money & not always have to depend on my parents for money. Let me now tell you the funny part. I have already prepared a list of things I want to buy after getting my pay, it is like as if I am so confident that I would actually get a part-time job.

 Put aside jokes, I begin to realise how time flies so fast. Just a few years ago, back when I was 10, 1 was playing online games on my laptop but now, I am searching jobs. I definitely am growing up fast & have to be independent. The working world is definitely competitive and much more harsher than school. Having the thought of it, I just want to stay young & study in school forever. Sadly, that is not how life works. 

If there is one thing I want to say to the future me, is to persevere on & never to forget my school life. Lastly a reminder to everyone of you who have a job, all around the world.

 Reminder: After a tiring day/week working, remember to have ample of rest, do yoga, go for a walk/short trips, spend time with your family & friends, do something you love & never give up!

Hot Soup

You can’t expect somebody to understand your love for hot soups, when toasted loaves are all that they know. Layers of flavours hugged the curves of your spoon, filling up your devoted heart. Glossy eyes stare back at you while you devoured. Breaking the ends of your mind thinking of how to explain, your love for soup - or your love for them. You tugged the ends of your wool sweater sleeves, patiently waiting for. Something, anything.  You’re getting tired. It’s just food, what’s there to dispute, but it’s not just about food. It’s about waiting for them to understand you, keeping yourself naively optimistic about their emotions and you truly do feel like you’re hanging on a fine thread of blind hope.  When desperation creeps in slowly behind you, normal days changed into morning toast meals so you could talk to them more, hold their hand a little longer. A letter for the souls in pain

  Isn't it strange how love works?  Walking from empty spaces to tall skyscrapers,  Tall skyscrapers to secret alleyways, Secret alleyways to empty spaces again.  We feel intensely, we act on our feelings leading to decisions that could make or break us. Honestly, who told us love was easy? Our hearts could never ever be fully ready to overcome the highs and lows of unknown roads and yet, here we are, ready to risk our hearts for people who were once strangers. The vulnerability people hold closely to themselves, kept hidden in tightly enclosed rooms, locked in the strings of their blood vessels, and yet, it get all loose, untied and full of holes when a person comes along. The intensity of an emotion no one could simply comprehend with words but somehow, simple phrases can easily tore hearts apart.
